One Word One Class Day (The Last Game Vlog No. 4)

Hello everyone, this is Sir Elbert. Welcome to my vlog The Last Game, this is vlog # 4. Today is August 17, the fourth day of Brigada Eskwela, just got here from cleaning the classroom. The classroom preparation is actually not finished yet. After doing some classroom cleaning, I'm back here to check my notebook. I have notes here for August 17, before and after cleaning works, I need to write words. What are the words for? Word for the day. In my class, everyday, just after prayer and before different subject lessons, I have word for the day. Everyday I will write one word on the chalk board, and I will write it's meaning. I get the meaning from the Webster Dictionary. Why do I do this? Just to make sure that everyday when there are classes, they have a new word learned.

As I read the monthly school calendar of activities this school year, from August to June all in all we have 190 school days. So, if there are 190 school days

So if there are 190 school days, I need write also 190 words for the 190 class days for this school year. Now, me, as a Science and Math teacher, I usually get words from Science and Mathematics terms. Sometimes, I also use motivational words. For example, I have here the notebook of one of my students, which is not yet claimed. So, one of the required for my class is that they have a small notebook, wherein they will write the word for the day. So at least, it is separate from the different subjects. I'll just borrow this from last school year, the student has not yet claimed this. They said they'll pick this up next week. Ok, here the first word for the day written here is Plan. And the meaning: Plan - is a drawing or diagram in an orderly arrangement of parts or overall design or of objectives. At least, I ensure that everyday, at least one word, outright they learn something. There are words here: plan, responsibility, vision, environment, skeleton, wisdom, cardiac and so on and so forth. So that is for today, what I want to share with you. This time, August 17. After some clean up, before and after I am now starting to write words which I will use for the coming school days. We have 190 school days. That's it for now. Once again, this is Sir Elbert and thank you for watching my vlog entitled The Last Game. Bye, see you next time 👋.

Hello guys, this is Sir Elbert. Welcome to The Last Game, this is vlog number 6. Today, let's talk about first day of school.           What to do on the first day of school as teachers. As for me, I do four things. Number 1 is to prepare or have all the materials ready. Ready the attendance sheet, class program, teacher's program, teaching materials, the students information sheet or students profile and so on and so forth. Okay, that number 1.              Number 2: stand at the door when the students arrive. Just be firm, controlled and consistent. Do not be so over welcoming or soft since this first day is actually the start of your classroom management. So make sure you are firm, controlled and consistent.
