Hi! Guys, again this is Sir Elbert, welcome to my vlog #2. Today is August 15, the second day of our Brigada Eskwela, and the opening of classes in public schools here in the Philippines will be on August, 29, 2023. So we still have about two weeks to prepare for the opening of classes.
Now, as a teacher, what are the things that I do as preparations. There are four things I always do. First is I take a look at some of the latest DepEd Orders, especially DepEd Order on the implementing guidelines of the school calendar and activities for the coming school year. That's one. Second is I revisit / reread my book on classroom management. Actually that book is a collection of classroom management ideas. I bought the book in Legazpi City way back 2009. Tomorrow I will show the book to you, I forgot the names of the two authors. So that's number 2, read books about classroom management ideas. Then number 3 thing that I do is I take down notes. So while I'm reading DepEd orders, memos' books about classroom management, I take down notes...write...write...write. Take down notes, I have a notebook and pen. Usually I do it in the morning, at home. Thereafter, I go to school to clean and paint if needed, as well as other things. And of course, number 4 as a preparation is set up the best classroom, that I can do. The best classroom for my students.
So those are the four things I usually do yearly. Number 1, read the latest DepEd Orders. Number 2, re-read the book about classroom management. Number 3, write, write, write and take down notes to avoid forgetting important things, helps me remembers always the things I need to do. And number 4, of course, set up the best classroom that I can do for the kids.
